Although Rachel has a degree in journalism and English, her passion for writing springs from generations of poets before her, and since childhood, she’s had an innate love for writing stories and keeping a journal. Her penchant for design stems from going to antique malls and flea markets with her mother, who was constantly changing and redecorating their home, while her deep love of all things old was sparked by her historian father. Although decorating on a budget is her passion, repurposing old things is even better—perhaps because every piece has a story.
The summer of 2017 was the move-in date for her self-designed farmhouse on twenty acres outside of Nashville. It’s from here she shares her farmhouse journey, her décor, and her deep convictions of creating an intentional home on her blog and social media. It’s her desire to encourage others to see their own talents and gifts and to be confident in who they were created to be.
